There has been a ton of talk on here for several weeks about SFWDA.
Talk of change, talk of failures, talk of success.

Well much like all things in life if you dont participate your opinion isnt valued very highly by others regardless how accurate it is.

So that said:

Who is going to Tracy City, Tn this weekend?
Who wants to go but needs a ride?
Who is going and has an extra seat?

If we really want SFWDA focused more on NC and SC we need NC/SC representation there....

Wear your club and/or NC4x4 apparel to help drive the statement home! :) If you need something to wear, PM me and I'll see what I have.

Serious.

I think I'm going to just wait on the formation of NCFWDA and try to put what little time I have into it. I'm still not convinced about what SFWDA can actually do for us here in NC.

I've been down this road with them. Like I said in other threads, unless you bring at least 10-12 guys you may not accomplish your goals. Hell, you may need more than that. When I was there roughly 3-4 clubs showed. It was the biggest display of good ole boy politics I've ever seen. The past president stood up and said I think "X" should get the bid because he's a pretty good guy. All that anyone wanted to do was go wheel the trails so everyone raised their hand and that was that. This went on until all positions were filled and we all filed out. It literally lasted less than 30 minutes.

I hope I'm wrong. I really do but knowing the past helps me stay grounded about this. JC, Ron, etc. please make your presence known. This was too late on my radar and I cannot attend. I'm sure ole Roger would shit a brick if I rolled back in and started up with the same talk I did back then. Please be assertive. They'll blow through that meeting like a bean burrito through your colon if you let them. Bring up the issues and stick to them till you get some answers. My list would be:

#1 - The logo debacle
#2 - New members; how to get them and how to be diverse (no exclusions)
#3 - Private parks and what they can do to help
#4 - New leadership is needed; from the top down. there still is that old Southern attitude lingering. Take a peek at the logo deal and you'll see it.

There's more but on those alone you could eat up a half a day IMO, which brings me back to my point about rushing through it. People want to ride. That's why the majority showed up. If you start to eat into ride time don't be surprised if you see people get up and walk out.
