Can you tag along if you're not a member of a club yet?
I'm sure you would be welcome to attend and check out the SFWDA and it's member clubs. Of course the hope is that you would like what you see and decide to join one of the clubs and lend your support to our sport. BTW there is a late fee for registration after May 15th.

any luck finding the rock garden?? never made it too much wrenching goin on.

Didn't hit that area. Rode mostly in the orange/lavender area. Cleared some down trees and marked a few intersections. Beautiful day in the mountains. The one I'm talking about, you turn left off the grassy trail, about 100 yard semi rocky climb to a rock outcropping to the left, if you continue straight it goes back downhill to a large clearing. If you go left into the rock garden you climb to the top and then you can take a sharp right and com down a steep short hill to the clearing. The rock garden itself makes a loop like the top of a question mark around an outcroping and a few large trees. If you take an earlier left we cleared up some steep rock steps, both come out at the same place. Alternatively at the top you could continue straight on the ridge until you reach the end, approx 100 yds, and cut back down to the left and follow a flatter boulder garden back to the base of the rock garden.

i was at callalante this past weekend and there is a new trail cut next to little tellico and it runs parallel with it. its real nasty. most of the rocks are the size of washers and dryers. i tried but i couldnt even get into the enterence  :flipoff2:

yes i do believe the trail u mentioned is or was "illegal" but we wont tell on u since u didnt make it :p

u had a blast? u musta not beein in our group with my lime green cj-5 i broke down 4 times on welder. one clutch linkage pulled apart, two broken motor mounts, a clutch pedal failure, and the chain holding down my engine after the motor mounts broke got into my alternator and melted all my wiring. good times!!!

Heading up Friday afternoon!!! Look for the Excursion and Camper (Riverside model)...

Hoping to take LOTS of pictures / write up something for one of the websites or mags! (May need a right seat if someone is going/has an open seat)

Are there enough trails for a full day of riding. I have seen pictures for Welder and Little Tellico. What kind of rock gardens are there how long are they?

Thanks, Troy

there are more than enuff trails for a full day of riding. welder is a really good trail and little tellico only takes a couple of minutes to do. the rockgarden that AORC cleared is crazy and steep and hard as hell to make it to the top. its about as long as the 3rd rock garden in crackers neck if you have ever been there.
