has anyone done this using the factory shackle hangers on a 91 body style chevy truck? and if so how?

I used the ORD shackle flip on my 01, I was happy with the build quality and results of it. DIY 4x4 makes one as well.
As far as modifying the stock hanger, by the time you put the effort into flipping it, moving it forward (cutting out all the rivets, drilling all new mounting holes) to get a decent shackle angle, bracing and gusseting, you might as well build your own or buy a set of pre built ones. I have seen one once, where the guy cut the bottom out of the the hanger for the shackle to go through, and then used 2" 3/16" flat bar to make a gusset from the top to the side of the hanger that rivets to the frame, but I wouldn't recommend it.

thats how mine sits as of now with out the shackles bolted in. I was tryin to stay on the cheap but it looks to **rigged
