Shamburg Auto Sales

mm..im not happy with my deal i did with them. just pay CLOSE attention to everything. when we were negotiating a price, i asked him to throw in a new set of tires (the ones on the vehicle were bald) he agreed.....and then billed me for them on the invoice.

had i known he was just gonna bill me, i would of gotten the tires myself.

there were some other issues, but its been so long ive cooled off and forgotten what they were.

The one in Stokesdale is also known as Scamburgs... They sold an old buddy of mine a Land Rover that the frame had been straightened, sold it to him as a clean title, he went to resell and got screwed, believe he ended up sueing them, but its been 3-4 years.

I can't stand the dicks. I put a $1000 deposit on a truck on a Friday so they'd hold it until Monday when I could go get the loan straightened out. They sold it Monday morning to someone before I got off work. They new that I was having to wait until Monday afternoon after work. I got my money back but I was and still am very pissed about it.

I think they are the same as every other used dealer around. They buy their cars from the auctions, clean them and up for sale they go. Treat it as what you see is what you get, don't pay attention to what the salesman says about the vehicle's history. Look it over hard and show me the carfax.

Scamburgs? Replaced an engine in my roomates car that was sludged up she bought from him. When they went back to him after I found the sludge he said he would fix it, he ended up 'flushing' the engine. Which I thought was awesome, I was hopeing it unlodged some big pieces of sludge and really do some engine damage so we could make him buy a 2nd engine. But he really did nothing to help and ended up we found an engine and swapped it for her. I think there are better places to buy from unless its just a great deal.

Exactly..., each car is different, some good some bad....kinda like women

I would not take a car or a truck if they gave it to me.My cousin work for the asshole and they do very shady work. He went to the chevy place and bought his truck if that tells u anything.

Went down there to look at a 97 GMC 2500, had it priced at $5880 which is KBB in perfect condition. Had dents, exhaust leaks, bald tires, and dirty as hell, and A/C didn't work. I told him I wouldn't pay for a perfect truck if it wasn't perfect. He told me I could take my money and go home then...so I did. :flipoff2:

the only dealers I will work for are franchise dealers. you may pay a little more. but its usually worth it. most are picky over their used cars. if it goes thru shop and has major problems its gone. no trying to patch up junk. the bad part is some of the little used lots get them and just try to get by with the minimum to get them going and sold. im not saying all little lots. just some.

And I walked back in the "dealership" because I left a paper, when I walked in he was talking shit about me...lesson learned

I was in almost that exact situation 3-4 years ago over a cummins they had on their lot. I was in the Kernersville lot and talked with Tyler and Jason both unfriendly fellows.

On the other hand Glenn (the father that ran Shamburg in Walnut Cove when it was a Chevy dealer in the 60's) as stopped into my work before and was as friendly as can be.
