shew the new layout!!

What I'm looking 4, all the commits on the New Look. SORRY; I don't like it! I guess, as with Firefox, I'll just have to get used to it. I keep looking 4 "new post", gone. Had to shrink screen to fit this page [maybe it's Goggle]. Looks like some of the other forums, I've visited. I'm just 1 of those, that hate change, if you have a Good Thing working. I don't see the point, yet. Maybe I'll find it later.:confused:
 
I'm friggin lost, God help me I didn't need more change. Sorry that was indeed a Obama reference.
 
face smack? yea I got my name on that but this is where I came to eliminate the Bull and get to the point on what makes me tick. Whats next a bunch games and weird request that ad more clutter to hide the content I'm after.
Shit can nothing be simple!
 
This is the first chance I've had to get on since the change. I'll save my opinion for a couple days while I try it out and will report back.

My wife asked why I wasn't at the computer all night and all day. I told her I just thought I needed to spend more time w/ her.:D Didn't tell her NC was down.
 
Guess all of this should have been under "NC4x4 vs 4.0", but I hadn't paid any attention to that in the past. Seems lot of guys, & I, have to shrink to fit page! The other thread is pretty full of tech stuff, that some of us know nothing about. This old dog will Never catch up[on]. DAMN
 
Ive been at work all weekend (still here). I havent had a chance to explore yet, so Ill keep my initial opinion to myself. Maybe tonight Ill have some time to play with the new site.

The current layout is too wide for your monitor? It will stretch to fit wider screens, but I think it has a minimum width. I can try to skinny it up if that's the case.

As long as it does'nt mess with the folks with larger screens...I wish you would skinny it up a bit.
 
I find the new font harder to read. No idea why or how. It it the same?

Also - the user/avater blocks on the L side are taller now, I'm guessing due to higher res pics or the extra box, creating a taller minimum vertical space for each post. As a result I now see only at most 2.5 posts per screen, even if they are short (Like Dylan's above). Could we perhaps move Member Sicne and Location to elsewhere (upper right? many forums do that) to shorten it again?

I also prefer a user's name on top of the avater, and thats what I really pay attention to (pics change).

Oh, and thanks for hardening the corners a bit ;-)
 
i agree it is hard to read ,everything is so small including all the pictures,and have to reduce screen size to view & exit out of pages,hard to tell old and new stuff used to be in bold or something,maybe it'll get better.
 
Click here: http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/index.php?forums/-/mark-read and confirm that you want to mark all forums as read. Right now, everything looks the same because the software doesn't know what you have and have not read yet. Once it has a baseline, it will start making new stuff bold, just like before.

It will automatically assume you've read anything older than a certain date. I think it's 14 days ago, but not 100% sure.
