I have a 04 WJ 4.0L Auto, Im assuming its the shift interlock but not positive. The problem is I can shift it to any position, any time without pressing the brake or squeezing the button on the shifter....Basically i can be driving down the road, and if i accidentaly bump the shifter, It will go straight into reverse or park. Not Good! I can get in it without pushing anything or having a key in and slide it to any gear. Any clue why its doing this? Im guessing shift interlock but I am not very familiar with this system, and have never torn into one to see what could go wrong with it, figured I would ask here before I make things worse haha.
