Shipping a bumper?

I need to ship a heavy one piece steel bumper. Who do you recommend to use for shipping? Should it be freight shipped? I am in Greensboro if it matters. I do not have a business address where it can be picked up, but I could take it to the shipper of course.
 
whats the weight? im assuming one man cannot pick it up?

i think southeastern freight is off of west market, give them a call.
 
I can pick it up by myself, but I couldn't take it very far. I don't know the exact weight, but I am a pretty strong guy.
 
Put it on a pallet and call freighquote.com. I use them several times a month and they are generally cheaper than anyone else.
 
I took one straight to the ups store. They stuck the label straight to the bumper and shipped it that way.
 
I shipped a bumper through the UPS freight place right off of the interstate (85 IIRC) there in Greensboro.
 
I've had good luck shipping oversize items through greyhound if you happen to have a station nearby
