What's the easiest way to ship a bare fender to somebody in anotehr state?
Say, an 80s Toy front...

Crate it and pay the price.

My 'gooner (full size Wagoneer) got wrecked several years ago. Other guy's insurance company had a parts buyer that shipped my body shop a take off fender from an Atlanta junkyard. It came with an UPS label taped directly to it, and it was trashed. 2 more were in cardboard boxes and were damaged by UPS...second one arrived with only about half the box it started out with, the other was outright crushed whole, box and all. I ended up going up to Siler City (Marsh) and bought one myself.

That whole deal was pretty stupid, the parts hunter shipped a total of 5 take-off fenders up from Atlanta area junkyard, 3 were damaged in transit, 2 were not acceptable (rust, faded woodgrain). Meanwhile they were paying for a rental Suburban...for about four weeks of trying to get a fender to me. Repairs were about $3000, rental bill (they paid all) was over $3500 by the time I got the 'gooner back. Book value was probably about $4500 at that time.

Honestly, you can buy a repop after market fender for $50 just about anywhere.

I highly doubt you will ship it SAFELY for less than that.

I agree with you and that's what this is, "new" unpainted etc.
Bu tfor some reason this guys wants it, can only assume it's due to being in a salt-belt area and they must be hard to find?

If somebody else would just buy it from me locally I'd much prefer that... but I need these parts gone so I can move...
