Moving my rear shock mounts to accomodate for longer bodies/more travel.

On my Toy, like many trucks, the OE shock configuration is w/ both angled away from tha axle, maybe 20 deg off, with the D-side pointing forward, and the P-side pointing rearward.
Why do they do this? Help prevent axle wrap?

I'm debating moving that D-side to being rearward, there's a little more room that way. But that also means both shocks are mounted of the rear side of the axle housing, am I asking for axle wrap problems?

Yes.
It's not going to do much of anything in an offroad application. I don't think it does much new, stock, and on pavement.

You mean the 115 hp coming off my 4 cyl, through an auto tranny and onto 80 lb tires isn't going to whip those springs all over the place?? :driver::lol:

My 80 hp actually bent the add a leafs and started to crush both aluminum lift blocks, but then I'm running my 80 hp through a doubler.
