Shock stud to loop conversion - help!

I'm installing some coilovers in the rear on my Trans Am. They were in a parts car that I parted out. The dude just had them bolted in straight to the shock mount with the stud, which I don't like on a car that is going to be making 650-700hp on spray and with the new rearend I'll be launching on slicks. I bought a loop conversion mount, but I can't find a stupid conversion for the stud.

Shock is 3/8-24 thread. The QA1 conversion I bought is 9/16-18.

Anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find new loop conversions or even a strong thread adapter or something.

Well, nevermind. I talked to the guys at QA1 and they said the 3/8" stud can't support the car with a loop. :(

The majority of the load is in compression on the stud, but i worry about the factory sock mount location supporting the load of supporting the weight.

I’d be concerned with topping out the shock without a limit strap and breaking the stud, vs breaking during a compression event.

Did they recommend to just run the 3/8 stud on that car and shock?

Just for a quick update, in my evaluation of the coilover at 1:30am I failed to notice that you could swap out the 3/8" stud. I removed it and installed the QA1 stud to loop conversion and used the adapter brackets to mount coilovers in the car.

The only issue now is the springs the wrong size now and my car is raked out some kinda stupid.
