Alliant #1-1/2TMV Vertical Mill
These are pretty much a dead on clone of a Bridgeport, and considered to be equally good. The Alliant castings are actually of a slightly better material, but everything else is so similar you can swap parts between them.
9x42'' Table
2hp spindle motor (220v 3 phase, you will need 3 phase power, or a phase converter/VFD, or get the motor rewound)
Variable Speed head 60-4500rpm
R8 Taper
Power feed on table X-axis
It has a noise at lower rpm’s that I can’t quite diagnose, but I’m pretty sure it’s a mfg defect on the new belt I put on a few months ago. Bearings are buttery smooth in both the head and the motor.

Not a hijack at all. That would be perfect to run the mill. If you were closer, I’d probably buy it. But it would be perfect for somebody.

I am using an Eaton DC1 VFD configured to convert from single to 3 phase on my Bridgeport Series 1. Way less than a new motor and works like a champ. There are as lot of micro drives in the market that can do that.

Side note I am interested in that chain hoist to add to that arbor press that I still need to pick up.
