Built a winch mount for me buggy this weekend. Used a 4.5" grinder with flapper disc and cut off wheels, 2" holesaw and measuring tools. Trying to show that you can build something nice without a stupid amount of tools kinda thing.
Here's my tip...How many times have you used a hole saw and trown out the piece of metal that you cut out? I reused them as reinforcement washer.

Then I drilled the holes out to the proper size with a unibit.

I then Bolted them into the place I wanted to weld them into.
TIP: bolt in an oversized nut to absorb heat from the welding, this will help keep from gaulding(sp) the nut on.

Finshing up..I welded the washers in place.

Drilled four holes to lay out the bottom opening to drop my winch line down to suck up the front end and cut the rest out with a cut off wheel.

Welded it into place..
