What kind of work lights are ya'll using in your shops? I have LED overhead lights but when I'm under my rig I cant see for sh!t. I have a headlamp and it is marginally ok . I went shopping today and Milwaukee is ether a mosquito light or an accident scene spotlight.
What's relatively inexpensive, functional, and useful?

I have a very cheap and old LED drop light. I also wear a headlight sometimes too.

Now you've got me looking at better drop lights. This one looks really good.

Now that's an awesome light! $200 is a little steep so I'll hold off but I like it!

I had the same issue as RQ. Putting a car up on the lift, just created a space that felt like it was lit like it had a 15W incandescent light to work with. The close you got the the bottom of the vehicle, the darker it was. So,... I had a few left over lights that I had not yet hung or found a place for. So I was sitting there one day, taking one of my many breaks when I am working on something, and an idea came into my head. I had several types of lights to use as work lights, and well the magnets are never strong enough and many hit the floor, too many times doing that and the lights quit working. The hooks on some are "OK" but all too often, you don't have a place too hook it to do what it is you are needing to do, So, Back to my idea. A good friend of mine is the king of making Chicken Salad out of Chicken Shit, so I described my idea to him, and he left. Within a few hurs he came back with what he had made out of what I described. The light will rotate from "level" to straight up, and you can lock it in place to where you want it. It has casters off of an old office chair, it rolles really easy, and if you bump it, it doesn't fall over. As a matter of fact, you'd have to slap it really hard, and I am not sure that would make it tip over. So, Her it is:

I use these. Nothing special, but rechargeable and have a magnet on the bottom. Has them for 3 years and they still work.

Coquimbo Gifts for Men Him Dad Handyman, Rechargeable Flashlights LED Work Lights with Magnetic Base, 360° Rotate 5 Modes Mens Tools for Fathers Day Christmas Birthday Gift (2 Pack, 27x4.5cm) https://a.co/bJA4bgo

I use Ryobi 18v tools, so I've had one of these for a while.

For quick jobs or like sticking inside a fender doing brake work I grab this.

And I just bought a couple of these for my kids to give me for Christmas.

This is a pretty kick ass light and I have the underbody on the way. If you can find a store that can order reconditioned direct from Milwaukee it’s a pretty nice savings. This light is $125 from us when I can get them vs $199 retail.

I recently got a Kobalt flex/twist head LED light to use my drill batteries. I was hesitant, but I like it a lot. The magnets are shit, even with the smaller battery on it.
