Shopping around need advice with lite kit

I have a stock 2000 jeep grand Cherokee 4x4 v8. Looking and shopping for the best lift kit for the best price. I am not mechanically inclined so the help will point me in the best direction

Just as an FYI, your grand cherokee is also known as a WJ.

We need some more informaiton to help you with lift suggestions, such as: 1) what do you want to do with your jeep (look good driving to the mall, or do you want to be able to do some rock crawling) and 2) what is your budget
 
The WJ has that funky ball joint "triangulated" upper rear control arm. A couple companies change it out for a heim style joint. Iron Rock Offroad, Clayton, Rough Country all make bigger kits but you can go with any of the other companies for a BB or 3"-4". They are susceptible to rough rides when you go too tall without adding longer control arms.
