I'm looking to get some new tires...33x12.50x15 for the 4runner. I'm looking for something cheaper. I bought cheap tires (Mud Dawgs) last go around and actually got pretty good life out of them. I do alot of road driving and hit the trails when I get a chance. I have thought about just going with BFG KM2's but will have to spend the little bit of extra coin for them. I found a good deal on Wild Country MTRs $460 for the 4 tires brand new. Does anyone have any feedback on these? Strength in the woods as well as their road life?

Have you looked at the Nitto Trail Grapplers? Rides can get you a good price on them. He's been running them on his tow rig and has sold several sets. They seem to do quite well.

i'll look into them....your in K-town? I took some pics of you on the rocks last weekend and helped you pull out a line for quickracer.

Sweet! Were you the guy that stepped up with the muscle to pull the line out? lol I'm a weakling after losing all my weight.

I called Brandon at Rides to get some info on these tires. Nitto does not make a 15" tire in the Trail Grappler, but you can get 16" - 20". All their sizes are metric but the equivalent of 33"/34" on a 17" rim is the 295/70/17.

Rides of Conover Price on a set:
Nitto Trail Grappler 295/70/17 - $260 + tax mounted and balanced

I don't expect you to get many miles out of the Wild Country's or any similar priced mud tire, but then you can probably buy two sets of those for the price of the longer lasting tires and get the same mileage per dollar. The Trail Grapplers look damn good though and do fine with mild trail riding. I wouldn't go crawling rocks with them or hitting 4' deep mud holes.

The trail grapplers do look good, but I don't think that is what I'm looking for. I don't want to up my rim size. I appreciate the research/ feedback thou.

cant go wrong with some Maxxis buckshot mudders. i had them in a 33 12.50 on my yota for a little over a year and it looked like they didnt wear at all. they ride decent, not loud on the road(only thing i didnt like, i like loud tires), and wear like steel on lighter vehicles. they also perform great on the trail. there pretty cheap to. i think when i bought mine new it was $575 mounted balanced out the door. plus TN tax which is like 9%. i would highly recomend them.

May I suggest calling Jason Lackey, at Town & Country Tire in Hickory. 828-294-1888 Owns store, member of CTB, can get any brand, & will give as good of deal that I know of. A little fruther drive, but let him give u a quote. Rodney
