A piece of plexiglass that can slide left to right. Or a piece that flips down. Use and old pair of jeans as the hinge. Metal will make to much noise.

So I researched a bunch of blinds last night and saw plenty of Windows...
Biggest question. Doesn't the movement of opening the window and the reflective quality of a pane of plexy or glass spook game.
I get being sneaky but just seems counter productive.

That's why you use cloth for the hinge, so it can slowly swing open silently.
You could get an anti-glare film to coat the plexi so it won't be reflective.

Or... turn it into a smokehouse ;-)

Smoke house was intriguing for a bit. Researched a bunch on modern versions of that old age method. Very narrow market, would need more invested to be nice. Most importantly done wrong on the food end kills folks.

What ever I do I want a tangible return.......Mocksvegas and the surrounding is fairly ate up with fields and hunters. Me thinks I'll head this route.

If I get attached I could plant it on a known area 5 minutes walk through the woods that has various critters.

Other then Mr. Beard I have the confidence it's not bon fire material.

Now the details. I'm not sold on windows.

Platform or no?
Rough opening and leave it?
Paint, treatment, concealment?

The stand itself will spoke them for a while but the reflection and brightness of the plexi won’t bother them after they get use to it. And after a while the plexi will slightly haze and not be as reflective.

Besides most will open them when hunting or close all but one the way they want to shoot to cut down on wind.

Personally I wouldn’t put it on a plat form or paint it anything beside a basic brown. It all depends on where the stand is going on if it will be elevated or not and any additional painting to it.

Hmmm. Shingle or metal. Was going with a couple bundles of architectural shingles til I talked to a friend I used to do cash work with on roofs. (i was grunt labor).
To little pitch no go!
So off the scavenge.

Perfect.

Didn't have any real trim ends so I used what I think was a drip edge left over from my building.

Not exactly traditional, I've never done anything metal other that plain barn tin. I wouldn't have done the band had the left over building siding not worked out perfect on the finished ends. 3 sheet wide was dead on the width.

Going to pull off of it and do some studying. I'm at a point where it gonna cost more than time.

Really not sure where or what I should throw at it next.

If you really think you want to sell it, I'd be careful about doing too much more. Especially re: interior finishings.
Keep in mind that he potential buyer will probably have an eye/idea for how he'd like to set it up and finish it out. If you do it how you want it, then you're actually cutting out anybody who had a slightly different intent.
Also keep in mind that certain types of finishings don't travel well due to the thing flexing etc in transit, unloading etc.

I got ya some flooring should a need arise. Free of charge. But you can't get picky on color.
Me and Jaime are good I am not moving into it yet!

Man pulled up and asked if I built tree house stands to sell.
Short answer no........but this one left with me holding 200 cash. We where both happy and his grandkids are going hunting.

Man you sold yourself way short on that deal. No wonder you teach and don't run your own shop, you'd be broke! you should have pulled 5-600 bones on that rig.
