This isn't an official event (yet at least), just wanting to see who all would be interested in this. We are on the verge of green lighting this.

Right now the tentative plan is to do this on the Saturday of the 1st weekend in June. The truck/4x4 show will be taking place at the Eldorado Outpost, Chris Cagle the owner is behind this 100 percent. We will be putting together prizes for the truck/4x4 show, including a prize for one voter in the "peoples choice award" voting. If possible we are looking at getting an RTI Ramp out there, and having a flex off competition also.

Food will be taken care of between Chris and Terry (which is also behind this 100 percent), so there will be plenty of food/refreshments. Also ALL VENDORS are welcome to this event. There will be plenty of room for vendors to show up and put up a canopy/table to promote their products. We will be needing prizes for the show etc. So any vendors that attend and donate a prize (gift certificate, parts, etc) its GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Other entertainment like porch side music etc is in the works also. But the biggest part of this is why we are doing it. After expenses are paid, all money made from this (from registration fees for the show, etc etc) will be donated to the Friends of Uwharrie Volunteer Program based here on NC4X4. All the money donated to the program goes directly into the trail system for upkeep/maintenance etc.

We will be promoting the workdays/volunteering at our own booth raising awareness during the event also. The whole goal here is to bring the 4x4 community together, have a great time, and help keep our trails open.

BDB spring event is that weekend.

Sounds like a good idea to me. X 2 on the swap meet.

This is a great idea to raise much needed money to help rent equipment to be used to keep the trail in compliance and to remain open for all! I tip my hat to all who have volunteered their time and sweat so everybody can enjoy the trails!

I know this can't be the entire interest in this. An opportunity to come out, show off your rig, get to see all the projects/rigs that you hear about on here but may not get to see. Great food, great prizes to be won by the participants in the shows/competitions plus the people voting/spectating. Vendors will be out so you can get the latest scoop on parts etc, and maybe even buy some stuff or swap/trade at the meet. We will be getting an RTI ramp for people to play on/compete on. And for all this its free to attend, and only a small fee to participate in the show/competitions. To boot its to help keep the trails we enjoy out there open.

Sounds good to me. RTI ramp gonna hold the KRAKEN up:rolleyes:?

The only reason I dont want to commit for this is because we have the BDB ride on the calendar for that weekend. Why not push it back to the 2nd weekend of June, the Farm event will definately take away from this event, and would be more succesful on a weekend without any wheeling events.
