SHTF Communication CB Ham

I bought a Baofing radio a few years ago and I have yet to be able to use it or get a damn sound out of it. I looked at Youtube and still never could get it. That's why I went with the Midlands for my Jeep and travel with my group. I would love to demystify that little radio.

Steps to setup BFeng:
1. Buy USB programming cable
2. Download CHIRP program
3. Download and install driver's for cable and radio
4. Google and download channel lists for CHIRP
5. Start CHIRP and plug in radio
6. Look at USB device list to find correct COM port on computer
7. Select COM port in CHIRP and connect to your radio
8. Download your radio program file
9. Save this file as a backup/baseline
10. Cut and paste your channel list (it's like Excel)
11. Save the new channel file and upload it on the radio
12. Enjoy your programmed radio

99% of YouTube ham radio info is just flat wrong.
I deal with new hams every day using stuff they "learned" from YouTube trying to figure out why it don't work.
