I think that first is Rob Pickerings' Unimog. IIRC he was in top truck with it at one point.

This is A FL120 Diesel truck transformed into massive sand buggy. It seats 8 and weighs about 15000 lbs empty!

Correct. That was Rob's, and that footage is included in one of the Mogs at Moab videos that was produced several years back. Not bad for a fairly stock 404; softer springs in the rear was the biggest suspension change.
