Asking this here because I’m not familiar with Chevys. My mom has a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. It does not have dual climate control. When my folks were driving yesterday my mom says my feet are cold. They live in Michigan and it was a balmy 7 degrees at 3pm. So my dad goes to push the recirc button on top of the selector being on face/feet and nothing happens. There is cold (like ice cold) air hitting her feet while there is warm air coming out the dash vents. So my question is, blend door? Has anyone heard of issues with this model with actuators or anything? Where is it located? Any advice I could pass along to my folks would be great!

Talked to my dad again. All the modes work and switch just fine it just won’t go from outside air to recirc. It blows hot out the vents but there is cold air coming in through the box to the floor area.

Generally, if a vent mode fails, the system switches to defrost ducts, as a safety mode. If all the vent modes work, off & on, then I would think a-kelley is correct.

I had a similar issue with my trailblazer...it was a gremlin in the actuator. Try this: with ign off and all HVAC off, pull the HVAC B fuse for 30 sec and reinstall...then ign on and HVAC on. This will reset the system and often solves that issue. Good luck with it
