Siping MTRs

I'm thinking of siping my new MTRs. From everything I've read the traction is increased dramatically on rocks and the treadlife is lengthened somewhat.

Alright, everyone else...chime in.

Thoughts, comments, a-hole remarks...go

Thanks,
Staton

I had my BFG's siped and it has made a world of difference on wet pavement, especially those soaking downpours that seem to happen a few times a month. They haven't hydroplaned since I had it done. On the rocks it has made a bit of a difference but hardly a dramatic difference. As for treadlife I have read that it will help improve treadlife but since this is my first set of BFG MTs I couldn't tell you whether that was true or not. It is fairly inexpensive so there aren't a whole lot of downsides. However, don't get your outside lugs siped or it will lead to chunking.

Hey, I'm interested in siping by BFG's. Who in the Greensboro/Burlington area does it? Any ideas?
Thanks!

I had mine done at Discount Tire off of High Point Rd. for $10/tire.
