My 93 pickup had terminal frame cancer, so I decided to cut it up and build a work truck/dd that occasionally runs a trail or goes camping. Don't mind the shackle angle, it'll be changing with some lift springs soon.

The new rails sleeve into the old rails 10", the joint is offset and I had to make some patches for other spots inside the old rails. Welded it with hardwire or dual-shield, whichever I happened to have around.

Still have a lot of details to nail down but I had it out snow wheeling a couple months ago and got stuck bad a couple of times and had to really yank on it to get out, good shakedown run.

The flatbed is the next step anybody have any good, leightweight solutons for decking? I'm leaning towards 10ga expanded metal right now.

Swapped in some lift springs and did a u-bolt flip. Got the expanded metal on the bed, got turn signals in and got metal for the headache rack. Tires and backup/cargo lights go next then pull everything apart to blast and paint.
