Skillet - Monster

I'm pretty neutral about this one, its catchy, there's worse on the radio. Never watched the video before, once I realized there was chicks in it I had to watch the whole thing. Near the end of the video, my 4 year old daughter came in and tells me "I wanna watch Feel Like a Monster"...I guess we need to play more Raffi in the minivan instead of played out radio.

I lik them personally. I love the idea that a christia band sees airtime especially if it is the mainstream radio. I wish most of the crhistian stations would play more of the harder stuff. www.air1.com is the hardest I can found on the dial.

mmmm, skillet monster, tasty
I had no idea til I clicked the youtube link, even though I had heard the song a bazillion times.

This is the first I have heard it and that may be due to the fact that I don't listen to the radio. I really do feel that there is only about 4-5 new songs out at a time and they just get played in a never ending loop. Then they throw in a million commercials so it seems like it has been a long time since you heard the first song the second time around (usually 1/2 and hour to an hour later). I kind of like this song and the fact that it's a christian band getting played on mainstream radio is really cool.

Yeah I really liked the song, still do, it is just played way too much, but that is true for any decent song that comes out! Their whole cd is really good

The song is okay, but it's a bit too repetitive for me. Sounds like they just keep repeating the chorus and didn't have the creativity to write more lyrics. I didn't know it was a Christian song/group?

If it weren't for this thread, I would have never had to hear this song.

I hate you Russ0943 :flipoff2:

Friends don't let their friends listen to the radio.

sucks for sure but must give the band credit to pull off getting air time with no talent what so ever.

Why change things now? Timberlake, Spears, Aguilera, oh fuck, just lump all of the teenybopper music in this category..

I saw Skillet perform live at a little skate park ministry in Greenville SC. Must have been 10+ years ago. They get my respect for hanging on that long... and for being a Christian band.

As for the comments that they have "no talent"... musical talent, like any art form, is subject to opinion. I would rather put flesh-eating beetles in my ears than listen to Metallica, Britney Spears, Ludacris and several other "popular" bands/artists. It doesn't mean they have no talent. Their "music" just doesn't appeal to me.

I dig Skillet. I have a bunch of their older stuff on my iPod. I dont listen to the radio anymore so I didn't know about this one. And since I've never heard it, Im not annoyed by the fact that its "played out".

Thanks for sharing.

I like the song and I'll take it over the 10 PLUS YEAR PLAYED out Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Live, and all the other crap most stations pump out all damn day.
