I am putting in a fuel cell to run an aftermarket TBI. I want to use an external frame mounted fuel pump. I think I have narrowed it down to this unit: FiTech In-line

Anyone have any tips/tricks or recommendations?

Only real problem will be that it’s loud when it primes being external. The in tank will be quieter but might not be an option.

You need a 100 micron screen filter between the pump and tank and a 10 micron after the tank

Here’s a good orielys part number for a cheap 10 micron

Remember tbi is high volume low pressure so an external regulator that matches the psi range will be needed. Holley sniper usually comes with one don’t know about other brands but they’re like 8 psi instead of 50-60 like fuel injected ones

That fitech pump is just a knockoff walboro GSL392 or Bosch 044 which are really common style for custom setups I use one from eBay that claimed to be original walboro (read Chyna in your best trump impression) . It’s better to get one that already has the fittings, a foam sleeve to quiet it, and a pair of mounting straps.

I’d carry a cheap spare before I bought an expensive one. They’re all knockoffs anyway
