Stripped the project and brought home the new power plant last week...:bling:

TCI is building a 700-R4, and Marlin has supplied a Toy Box for crawl.

Yes, it's the same truck. I sold off most of the drive line parts and stripped the tub and chassis bare. We cut all the engine, transmission, and steering box mounts off as well. A boatload of new body parts are on the way, as the owner wants an all steel clean truck.

What's going to be interesting, is what I can manage to put together with all the parts.

TCI comes through

Big box arrived from TCI yesterday. Today I test-fit the Marlin Toy Box.

i knew i put the wrong address down when i went to order all this stuff. haha they must have sent it all to you by mistake

Looks like a RamJet 350 to me.. I can't believe the price hasn't come down on those with the availability of LSx engines with the same or more power for a fraction of the price, and weight up to 100+lbs less.

That's gonna be one clleeeeeaaaaaannnn Cruiser!!

I think thats the nicest I have ever heard someone say,
Damn dude I think you paid too much...

The engine came from City Chevrolet. I feel we got a pretty good deal though. It was nice to tool on up there and have them drop one onto the trailer from their on hand stock. I ended up getting it for about $400 cheaper than I could find it anywhere else. Our plan is to try to stick to "old school" parts as much as possible, but build it as well as we can.
Actually, the oil burner next to the ramjet is headed for the D-90. (along with a slushbox for the rocks)
