I Have a question about my clutch fork and throwout bearing. I was fixing to put tranny back in my truck today and noticed that the throwout bearing is not seating all the way in the clutch fork. Actually it is no where near. I don't have much experience in this area but it would seem that the bearing should seat all the way inside the fork. I Was wondering if maybe I have the wrong clutch fork or something. The truck is an 86 K20 with 350/465/205 combo. It isn't factory stuff I don't think because the t-case is 8 bolt pattern not 6 bolt round like 86 should be. Also there are 2 threaded holes on the bottom of bellhousing so I thought maybe that meant the bellhousing was off a 2wd. below are 2 pics one of the way the bearing is on fork when in truck and the other the way I thought it should be. Thanks for any help . Also I added a pic of inside of bellhousing showing the location of the pivot ball for clutch fork thought that might help show why the clutch fork won't go all the way on bearing.
