Anyone know of or fix themselves small power tools? Co worker of mine has a Dremel profile sander that quit working, he said the brushes look OK. Nothing happens when you flip the power switch. Evidently this tool is no longer in production. He uses it for his side woodworking gig.

Some tools have a circuit breaker in tail, it’ll trip when over loaded, if over loaded enough, they don’t reset.
Also check that the body that holds the brushes hasn’t melted and deformed, I used to see that a lot

might be bad switch or even a broken cord internally at the strain relief that may not be there or has be compromised
Time to ohm things out and see.

I used to do power tool repair, those are the basics, at that, it’s a consumer use tool, it wasn’t supposed to last this long.....

What the heck .....
Take it apart.
It's not working now so you can't hurt it any more.

Yeah I'm gonna take it apart this weekend and check to see what is melted, cut, grounded, burnt up. Its already broke right?
