small Yota IFS lift?

Looking around I've found as many options for lift as there are for tires for my little 93 toyota daily beater. Not really looking for 4" and drop brackets, or a long travel $1800+ front only kit. Has anybody here used the SDORI ball joint spacers, or built thier own? I think the 1.5" extra and a little cutoff wheel work will let me clear my 33x12.50's without much fuss, but I don't like my complete inexperience with them, especially since it extends the space between control arms, not to mention the space between the balljoint and the control arm itself. Looks like extra stress and a good possibility of bumpsteer, but I may be totally off base. Anybody know of another option on these trucks to get 1.5-3" without a bracket kit or body lift?

i got 1.5in bj spacers and a 2in AAL on my 95 yota. been on there fro about 2.5 years. still aint changed the ball joints. the bj spacers allow for a little more flex to. if you do put them on, do not crank the tbars. youll break cv's the first time you it in 4wd. been there done that. i would highly recommend them. i got mine from 4crawler.com. great guy to deal with. i think his are $100 plus shipping. i cleard 33x12.50s with them and no cuttin at all. i did rub on the pinchweld when wheelin at full stuff. i have since added a 2in BL and now run 35s. rub on the pitman/idler arm at full lock. heres pics. 1st pic is bjspacers, 2in AAL, and 31s. 2nd pic is spacers, AAL, 33s, 3rd pic is spacers, AAL, BL, 35s

yea if i would build another IFS truck, i would do them again in a heartbeat. but unless you have aftermarket wheels, or factory wheels with spacers, your tires will rub on the upper control arm. because of where the spacers pushes lip of the arm up. i have 3.75in BS and it clears with room to spare. hope that helps!

I will be switching wheels. Just gotta figure out what I'm going to, I do currently have aftermarket 15x8's not sure of the b/s, but from the looks of them it isn't much.

i take that back, i did rub on the pinchweld at full stuff when wheeling. i think stock BSing on factory IFS wheels is 4.25??? maybe. if you have 4in BS or less you should be good

Got that covered, no way I've got 31's hung 6 inches out of the fenders on a 4 inch bs. Now to find something more up to date than late 80's hurricanes....

nothin wrong with some back to the future dubs. if you do the bj spacer root, how you liftin the rear?

I've got aal's, blocks, and shackles hanging out in the shop. Most likely the aal's since I do tow a small boat with it though. Just ordered up a salvage yard 4.56 V6 rear axle to get it a little more correctly geared for the 33's, now I've just got to find me a front diff and get the spacers and new bj's in.

Good lookin out man, I appreciate it, but I ran across one in Elizabeth City for $200, something tells me shipping a diff assembly from Arkansas will set me back more than $50 www.car-part.com is the mecca of all stock used parts sources, got a 4.56 rear, and soon a 4.56 front with a total investment of $450 and 90 day warranty on the rear/30 day on the front. Once I get it all together I'm wanting to build a plate bumper for the rear and then I'll eventually set into engine mods, or if the 22RE gives up a swap to something larger, like a 4.3 chevy or a 1uz 4.0. But that's all waaaayyyy down the line.
