yea me and ricky just watched it... theres been some really cool ideas but air bags on a train is to me air bags in an airplane for a crash, shits gonna hit the fan no matter what u try to do

i really liked the one were they blew up a truck with bedliner in it.. the rest of the truck was torn up but the bed stayed together

Yeah, Idig it, pretty neat show. The only gripe I have with it is that many of the ideas they are testing lay outside of practical application.
For instance, the carbon-fiber trailer that could withstand full hurricane wind. Awesome! Great testing methods too.
But in the end, it's kind of irrelevant b/c teh cost of actually making a trailer from carbon fiber is way to prohibitive to be done.
I do like the way they show teh hwoel process, from idea to engineeirng to test to results.
 
What a waste they wrapped a single wide in Kevlar to prove it could hold up to debris impact.. Ok great, spend 50k wrapping a 2k house..

The 2x4 luncher was the best part of the show..

And their chick ain't got nothing on carrie byron (sp) from myth busters..
 
the episode with the earthquake proof house was amazing. i couldnt believe what happened with the last house. it was amazing
 
i like how they put that one guy(dont know their names) in the wind tunnel ..it was on the one about the hurricane proof trailor
 
I can't seem to get into it, it's like another mythbusters to me only mythbusters tends to do more rational experiments.

I really thought the episode with the air-concrete mix was a definite "Duh" factor... I can't believe they spent all the time, money, and effort to test something that was completely predictable.

What was the airbag on the train episode? I missed that one. I also missed the earthquake proof house. Are those the two I should have seen to spark my interest? :confused:
 
anyone watching this one? good god that isnt a good idea! who would really ever put rockets on a truck and trailer to stop it? come on
 
Tonight's episode is just rediculous.
Yes, a better emergency braking system for a runaway truck/trailer is needed.
But come on, reverse rockets? Yeah, maybe it wil lstop it, but this is a completely impractical solution. The results pretty much show it.
Even if you get it to work, yuu will burn/toast everything... and have to be running around w/ very dangerous devices attached to your vehicle. Frreaking rockets on your truck... yeah that's safe! more dangerous sitting still than the damn runaway jacknifing vehcile.
 
im goin with mythbusters ripoff. airbag on a train? rockets to stop a runaway truck and trailer? waste of money testing . im guessing wont make it into a second season
 
it's entertaining because shit gets blown up/crashed.. which is always fun to watch.
 
i think they should put pies on the fronts of trains..so when someone gets hit its at least a little bit funny

what? GASP. could it be that when you're too busy being a self assorbed prick, you miss out on some stuff? too bad mythbusters doesn't come inside your cell phone or something.
