Santa needs to bring me a new snatch block, anyone got recommendations? I'll be using it to pull some trees around my woods with my XJ and 9000 Warn winch, steel cable. I've got a lot of storm damage. That's my immediate need, plus it just would be good to replace my old one that's missing.
Any feedback on this?... http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/index.php?threads/snatch-block-from-baileys.109445/
I don't want to buy any harbor freight chinese crap. Thanks

I have been happy with the ARB one that i have had for the past 7 or so years. Doesn't get a lot of use but has no slack or play in it and has a zerk fitting for greasing it. Also havent had any trouble with it rusting.

I've always wondered why they're called snatch blocks....you don't snatch anything with them. That being said, I still call them snatch blocks lol.

I bought a big HD one from Northern Tool or Tractor Supply (Can't remember which) several years ago. I have used it on the trail and also for tree work too. No problems with it. You can borrow it and try it out if you want.

Got a Bailey's block in my Jeep.

Another vote for ARB, mine has been great

Looks like the ARB one is more expensive than Bailey's.

And made overseas.

Just saying....

chastity belt. best snatch block around. been used since the dark ages.

thats a cock block.
Diaphragm is a snatch block.

I've had 2 Cheap China blocks, for years, & even broke a cable, using them, but not the blocks. That being said I recently bought the Smitty Built, from 4WhParts, for quicker hook up [same as Warn].
Forgot the price, but cheap enough, looks like the Warn, except it might rust. Haven't used it yet.
