Almost done with it, just need to finish up the doors and winshield frame, Much thanks to Shinton and the writeup he did on BUG, that is what inspired this after my cj frontend swap

Looks great Lee! Mine is coming along MUCH more slowly, everything but the cowl is still in primer..

Did you wet-sand the paint after you sprayed it, or is that along the lines of what I can expect just letting it dry?

No wet sanding, just painted it and thats it, Those pictures are about 3 hours after I painted that side, I have noticed that alot of the "bling" shine goes away after it sits for a few days and the paint cures more, which is perfectly fine with me

Put the taurus fan in, Put the t-case in, front and rear driveshafts made, shocks, new shackles, finish up a little wiring, tranny cooler, move rear spring perches on the axle to rotate the pinion up, install gears and lockers, build a cage, Swap water pump (has yj water pump on it, to long, going back to XJ water pump), finish mounting the gas tank in the bed, And various other odds and ends, I have most of the parts already, just need to get them on, still has a good bit to be done, but it has come a long way, Here it is in November when I got it. Keep it mind the complete engine/tranny/drivetrain/suspension and half the body have been changed since then, it was a rusted out POS, knowing what I know now I would not have built this same jeep up again, it was from Michigan and the time it spent up there really payed its toll on it, Both floorboards had to be cut out and new metal welded inalong with all the metal behind the diamond plate pieces, it was amazing how much rust a vehicle this new had, I did not even bother trying to cover it up, just cut it out and replaced it

Bet I know where some might be, to bad they are on a wussy 6 lug toyota wheel :flipoff2: Honestly when Its on the road the tires/wheel from my dodge are going on it for awhile, they are like brand new. The motor is getting pulled from the dodge and being rebuilt/hopped up as soon as the jeep is on the road

I got mine down here is SC with me and am about to bring it back home with me. Been driving it this week and man it feels AWSOME.
