Hey all, found the perfect Jeep last week :bounce: Only one major problem: It is a 2008 with a Snorkel. This is the ONE I've been looking for, but can't tolerate the snorkel. Help!!! Any advice is appreciated!

If you don't like it, take it off.

Unless it really upsets you, probably best to keep the snorkel.

While it is the classic mall crawler accessory, they are cool when you can use them (rains heavy enough to flood an intersection for example) and I've heard people say they get longer out of air filters with them because snorkels put your intake up higher off the road (less dust). I've also heard some say that the snorkel forces more air into the airbox but there's also friction loss from the several turns you make to get the air to the box so I can't say yes or no on that.

Either way, what's the big deal with the snorkel?

Wow, ya'll, Thanks for the replies. Any way to modify it? I just don't like the way it looks~~ Yea, I assumed there'd be a hole in the side when it was removed :p

If you don't like it take it off and make a side vent, the more hot air you can let out of the engine the better...:driver:

Have a piece of stainless made up to cover the hole, put some vent holes in it and call it use full.

I know the hole is differnt but you can do something like this
