What do yall think? Gonna happen?

I guess since everybody will read this in the morning, what's it like where you're at?

I've got my vote on practically nothing. I did stock up on sweet tea and mac n cheese and brownies (who wants to sit around and eat bread and drink milk?).

Freezing rain / sleet over on the east side in the Clayton area as of 6:15

nothing to speak of up near Rockingham county, a dusting of snow would be an overstatement, but there are a few flakes on my deck.

Wake Co, Durham Co, and Chapel Hill-Carrboro schools closed.

Can't remember how it works at NCSU. Do they follow whatever Wake Co does?

Was nice driving in, albeit a little slow.. I heard it got stupid after 7am though.. but now in Durham/Chapel Hill, the snow is not falling near as hard.. :(

Nice while it lasted.

maybe an inch ITB raleigh. just flurrying at the moment...

Well it picked up in Greensboro, public schools are surprisingly not cancelled. It started falling around 7:30 just as I left for work. It was slow going but finally made it in.

I got up at 5:30, there's 1/2" on my lawn and it's still coming down.

By the time I left home at 6:30, it was changing to rain and sleet, snow as all but gone.

Rich, it was silly driving in. Took me about 1.5 hours, traffic was silly slow on 751.

people are idiots. i don't think anyone has learned anything from the huge fiasco a couple of years ago (to the day).

richard, ncsu pretty much never officially closes. they do have an adverse weather policy, which basically says classes are still held but don't come if you don't feel safe. many professors go a step further will cancel their classes though.

I was told to stay home till I get a call from the shop.

No problem, it's their van, I can do that.

Wife went to work before it all started.

So I guess you don't want to know that I didn't get out of bed until after 7, huh?

Oh, and I made it to work on time. Including walking the dog and cleaning off both cars. :flipoff2:

Isn't that what it always takes? :fuck-you:

My tirp in was slower too, like 35-40 instead of 55-60..

But I bet yours was worse! That's the problem with the back roads.. One person freaks out, everyone pays.

Even worse when there's a slooooow vehicle up front, and the #2 guy doesn't know how to pass on a 2-lane.. (Worse than that is when the #2 guy is in a 300hp TransAm, is a manager of the group that sits right next to us, and makes me pass both him and the guy in front... I always thought he was a pussy..)

Started snowing here about 7am and by 7:30 there was a dusting on the ground and roads. I had to take the wife to work, roads OK, but NC drivers still chose the option of driving backwards, and sideways at any time. There was one MORON that was driving a Porsche Carrera convertible that managed to get sideways on 311 and go broadside into a tree. How is it Saleen tells it? Power in the hands of a tree.... Still coming down right now, and I hope I'll be able to get out and get some snow shots in a bit.
