SNOW Ride OlD 105 10am

I just got back home around 6 from a 105 ride. I-40 has been scrapped, at least once, but covered still
I left at 10:30 last night from Baton area, did 105 over to Boone Blowing rock, and a few little side tracks, was awesome, a few places was pretty slick on 105, but the Burban did it.
Y'all have fun

Exit 94 is great if you know how to get there from there

Wish I have made the time. Heading that way in a few min

We had a blast, about 12 inches up Linville side we didn't have any issues.
We had to hit the hills a couple times to make it up. It was 430 and by that time mostly a sheet of ice.

That's a really good hike for a short day tripper. Thanks for the pictures.

Me and the family went up today(Sunday). Early in the day it was pretty good then about halfway through it got SLICK! Come across a group of guys from Charleston that drove in Friday morning to camp and hike all weekend! More snow than they where equipped for as they where driving a 2wd Honda Pilot. They where stuck! They tried going north but couldn't then south and couldn't I offered to help but had an internet buddy that lived close by coming to get them! They where going to ride with him and rent a car to get back to charleston and then come back next weekend for they're Pilot! Anybody with that Brilliant idea must be smarter than me so I said rock on!!! Had to hit the hills pretty hard and stay out of the center tracks to get anywhere! We had a blast...got stuck on a hillside and had to ease back down...sliding towards the trees and here comes and f150 that was sliding toward me from the top and I thought here we go, barely missed me and hit the ditch! Idiots!!!
