Just got home from High Point.
Rain all the way till Hickory, then some snow mixed. Hit Burke Line at Hildebran and roads were covered., saw three wrecks in Median. Got to Morganton, temp rose from 32 to 36, and 36 here still between Morganton and Marion, all rain

An inch of snow here in Gastropolis. But it's still above freezing outside, so it doesn't stand a chance. Of course they already cancelled school tomorrow. Back when I was a kid, we had to walk to school in the snow, uphill both ways, barefoot...

Snowed for about 10 minutes here, nothing stuck. Only tiny bit I saw was on the top of my trash can and a little bit on my welcome mats.

Yet, I have a 2 hour delay for work today. Whatever, I'll take it.

We had 6-8" here in Roanoke with a 1/2" thick coating of ice under that. It made for some slick driving and most are without power. Wrecks were everywhere so I took the back-roads home from work. The Hemi Commander made it like a Sunday drive though, no problems for me.

Other than when I was in school , I've never understood why people get so giddy about freaking snow! I kinda like sunshine myself
