This was taken at about 9am, about 4 or 5 inches, and it's still snowing! As you can tell Dana LOVES the snow!

There was about 5" in west charlotte when I left for work at 6am. Now maybe another inch, but has been coming down on and off all day. The plows can't keep up, so the roads suck, but I love driving in it.

Just got back from Walmart for dinner tomorrow night and to my surprise all of the milk except the 1% is gone and there is a pretty large dent the quantity of eggs. I guess people think they are going to be snowed in for a few weeks.

The roads are starting to really suck right now everything is freezing over and there is more people out right now than when I went out earlier :shaking:

Wondering if the first part is Sarcasam (about the milk etc). Anyone that has lived in the south with snow knows that as soon as they forecast flurries everyone hits the shopping centers for milk, bread, eggs, and water as if a Blizzard is moving in.

And yeah I just got home from work and saw more and more idiots out. I am driving on a sheet of ice so thick you can't see the pavement lines and people are heading out for what reason I do not know.

Don't get me wrong I am all for snow driving fun. I spent from 6am till 4pm out and about aired down to 18psi in 4Hi having a blast (before I got called in for work for an amazing 2 hours). But its starting to sleet/freeze over and I see minivans heading out it makes me wonder.

I was picking up the wife from work this morning and got passed by a truck doing over 50 mph. We got 10+inches of snow yesterday which melted and then froze over night making a nice skating rink. The news DID say the roads were mostly clear, this doesnt look clear to me. It's a 6 lane road if you cant tell.

Yep, Had to run the wife in to work this morning and it was all ICE! If she wasn't a nurse and needed to be there, I would have told her to call in. I have driven in this crap my whole life up to a few years ago, retired fire dept in the winter wonderland Michigan. Snow can be fun to drive at times but NOTHING stops on ICE. So if you need to go to work, get things at the store ( I would call first to make sure they are open), I would stay home! Be safe!!

I got about 7" of snow where I live in Ridgeway SC (about 50 miles south of Charlotte) I basically spent all day playing neighborhood recovery crew pulling non-driving ass people out of ditches. I live in a pretty poor county so they've been slow getting the snow plow out but my Jeep loves it! Rode up to the gas station in 4-hi to get some  and amused some onlookers by doing front digs in the parking lot.
