I've never seen the B2 in action but I did watch a F117 take off and circle Seymour Johnson around 1990 wondering what the hell is that!. A friends family owned land on the river right beside the runway and we watched the blackbird scream down the runway and rocket straight up. Once it leveled off a few thousand feet up it was very quiet, we called it the batjet! We also often saw the F15s while eating lunch in the truck while we were there deer hunting and it was awesome to see them and the speed and quick manuvers they performed.
