I will miss you .................

There are probly only 6 bottles in a case. I also may be wrong b/c the everclear you have to order and prepay here in NC is 6 bottles but they are 1/2 gallons.

Tequila..... I aspired in my younger days to become proficient at tequila consumption so I could win drinking contests. I did win all I engaged in (for nothing more than a severe hangover and bragging rights). Oh to be young and naive again. My drink of choice back then was Two Fingers.

It's 12 for the 1800 according to the distributor. I've seen it priced from $28.95 on sale to $34.95 so a case would be over $400. The 7 bottles were $239. This tequila is smoother than most of the 80 proof ones I've tried and has nice flavors/finish. I drink it straight most times, w a lemon or lime on occasion. 2 or 3 shots is my usual dose then maybe a few beers. I have been amazed how bad I don't feel the next day after drinking too much of the 100 proof and I swear it has medicinal properties. It has never failed to cure/sooth my headaches, indigestion, and aching joints/arthritis/back etc. that feel better for days after a dose or 5.

I used to do a lot of work in Mexico and one of my coworkers knew his stuff when it came to tequila. I like Herradura and Don Julio - especially Don Julio 1942. Sipping tequilas.

So why are they not selling it anymore? Slow sales? It blows my mind that the NC ABC would turn its back on more of its monopoly profit.

Tequila now that's something that reminds me of a run in with border patrol and an odd blowout at a business associates homestead on the border. Patron silver is the only tequila that was offered to me while down on the border towns of Texas. Mission, Harlingen when you get that far down noone else speaks english.

Several employees told me it did not sell well enough so they stopped selling it. I thought that was funny because a lot of times they were out of it when I looked at several local stores in the last few years. If it's not on the shelf it sure as shit ain't gonna sell well o_O and I've always wondered how much cheaper the booze would be if it was not the states baby :kaioken:

I'm so sorry. Patron isn't really worth drinking. There's many that cost less and taste a lot better, but Patron has the "premium tequila" marketing machine and the disproportionate price markup to match.[/QUOTE I don't know anything about tequila. But when I was down there the people acted like it was the stuff.

It's because it's expensive and heavily marketed. Do you really want to be the guy that doesn't like it even though it's really heavily marketed and expensive? What would your friends think?

I'm that guy.

Jose Cuervo Family Reserve. But at $145 a bottle it can be a little pricey to shoot. It's as good or better than any sippin whiskey or Single Malt I've ever had.

Hard to find since they only make it once a year and in limited numbers. Something like 1500 bottles.
