So I had the Rona a couple of weeks ago. I’m one of the lucky ones that lost taste and smell. I’m still waiting for it to come back completely. But something that noticed. I can taste and smell certain things only. Fruits and sweet things I can taste but most savory things I can’t. It is by far the worst part of having Covid. Coffee tastes like hot water, meats have no taste. I do the majority of the cooking, so it’s a guessing game. I figure if I get it wrong, so fucking what 🤣

Here’s where the fun part is. I can’t smell 💩 or farts. I’ll destroy the bathroom and can’t smell a thing. The wife walks in gagging afterwards. Or Dutch ovens don’t bother me.😁. See kids, always look for the bright side!

Had it a couple weeks ago as well and the headaches were the worst part imo. Lost taste and smell for a couple days. Back to as normal as I ever was at this point.

I had it very early on. Before all the testing and masks. It was just starting to pop up and the dr didn't know for sure what I had. 99% sure it was rona. Crap sucked. I felt like I got run over by a mack truck for about 2 weeks and couldn't smell or taste anything.

Pretty sure I had early on as well. It was before it even made the news. It was around New Years of 2020. I lost all smell and taste, felt like crap, and I coughed for a month. I was fortunate to not have headaches. I tested negative for flu and strep. The worst for me was the loss of smell and taste. That was miserable. Some say they can still smell/taste certain things, but I lost it all. Doc said it was a “sinus infection”.

When the wife lost her taste and smell, it was game on for me. I was finally able to break the no farting in the shower rule.

Salty came back first for her, then sour, sweets and bitters were last. Took about a month for the full senses to return.

Yep, mine was middle of January. I had heard of it, but it wasn't making headlines. I felt like somebody drove an axe through the bridge of my nose.

Our family thought we had it this time last year, but no way to confirm. I had a high fever that came on really fast one evening and lasted about 12 hours, other than that I was fine. I attribute it to all the dirt I ate as a kid.

Some of your guys descriptions with the sinus stuff is reminds me of how I Have felt a lot. It seems since we have received higher rainfall or this Rona I have stayed "sinussed" up.
For Almost a year or more my ears, nose, and head have been a fluctuating pressure vessel.
I've stayed perpetually ran down. I've attributed it to record overtime and age. I don't know anymore. Ear doc, cpap dude all says you seem normal. I think I need a physical. Haven't had a good one in years.

Same here. Guy at work had "flu" the week before presidents day. Then that weekend myself and another lady at work got hit hard with it. She was out of commission for several days and had lingering cough and congestion for weeks. I had sudden fever and pain for about 6 hours where I honestly thought I might die, then when I woke up the next morning I was pretty much over it. Cough and congestion lingered though.

Interesting, I wouldn't think a ball squeeze and finger up the ass would fix sinuses, but to each their own.

My girl friend “had” it. Worst part for her was the extreme fatigue for 2 months afterward. Started to think she needed a cardiac work up. But doing better now.

Baptist says my dad had it before they knew what it was (was in the hospital with 'pneumonia' for a week), and he's been part of a research study for the last 6ish months. As part of that study, direct relatives were antibody tested, and most of us did get a positive result for antibodies...so one could assume I've had it, but not 100% definitive. My youngest popped positive for Covid on Christmas Eve. My FIL and BIL were diagnosed a couple days before my daughter. Any time at work we've shut down a department as a result of a positive test and sent out the rest for testing, we get an additional 5-10 heads that come back as asymptomatic positives. I've definitely had a ton of exposure, have experienced symptoms, have been tested a half dozen times over the last year and get negative results as a result of exposure...but on paper, I'm a no.

Mostly refferring to needed blood work panel. Is assume skip the rest.

"Undetermined respiratory illness" is what it was called in Dec. of 2019 and Jan. of 2020.
My whole family, daughter, her husband, all her inlaws.
No issues with taste ... I have bad sinusitus so I wouldn't notice smell issues anyway.
5-7 day with just being minor sick.
Daughter has asthma .... took her 2 months to get better.

About 7 or 8 years ago I was down for about a week with symptoms identical to what the Covid carries, but of course it was still called the flu back then.
I almost never get sick. I do occasionally get a lymphatic infection but it barely slows me down. I've been healthier and felt better over the last year than I ever have.

I’ve had three friends with it recently. Two husband and Wife. Neither got sick had a temp or anything just couldn’t smell or taste anything. Other friend had it and damn near thought he was gonna die and was sick for well over a month.

Docs said it wasn't the 'rona, but my wife and I both had extremely high fevers back in February that lasted about 4 days each. No other symptoms at all. Never had a fever like that, that was so high, and lasted so many days without letting up. But it wasn't the 'rona. Sure would like to get an antibody test.

I got the vaccine, working in the fire service we had the choice to get it or not. My dad had open heart surgery in November, moms getting up there in years I got 2 kids an a wife I was gonna protect them... first dose day after Christmas. Was fine no problems at all... second dose January 21, I thought I was dying. There’s 9 on my shift. 6 of them got the shot an all had the same reaction. High temp, nausea, body aches for 12 hours. Then we were all fine. Bad part is we all had to work with those side effects because we couldn’t find enough part timers to fill 6spots. If your thinking of the vaccine just letting y’all know, might wanna plan a sick day after you get it. From the people I know that got the corona, they didn’t seem to be as sick as I was when I got the vaccine

That sounds exactly what happened to me last January. Ran through my house but affected everyone differently.

Had the 'rona, put me out of work 20 days excluding weekends. Covid, covid pneumonia, then (insert fancy medical term) for inflammation surrounding the lungs/chest. The last was by far the worst. It felt like I had 100lbs sitting on my chest & when I could get a deep breath it caused sharp pain. I feel pretty fortunate I had it mild by some accounts, but I don't want that shit again.
