Where would you go? Let's say you have two days of vacation from work to extend a weekend if need be.

And let's say you can't leave until Friday because you're still in Texas at the moment.

Extra points for specific events to visit. Discuss...

I like Texas a lot mission,McAllen, Harlingen even had a run in with homeland security. Maybe tn southholsten

Since your in Tx get a rental and head west to Red Rock canyon in Gallop NM. Google it.Take hwy 64 thru the prairies and see all the wind mills.

Anywhere in the world?

Finikounda, Greece

Australia (hot women who idolize American men)

I've always wanted to wheel backcountry Alaska.

In the WORLD... my ass would be going to Southern Chile/Tierra Del Fuego, or the South Island of New Zealand. That's some wild territory down yonder.

The Icelandic wheeling has always appealed to me as well.

Driving to South America is on my bucket list, so I would likely opt to drive if I went down that a way.

Pyramid lake Nevada, swinging big flys for the biggest cut throat trout in the world

Pyramid lake for camping and wakeboarding is a lot more fun.

I'd have said go to Vegas and check out mint 400 but you missed it. A couple of days isn't enough for somewhere like Yellowstone but is plenty for somewhere like San Diego. So, San Diego.

If this is a 4 day weekend, then you can't fly far or you will be spending most of the time traveling.

This random question did have a purpose...

I was looking at expiration of about $1500 worth of airline medallion credits; the ol' use 'em or loose 'em by the end of March.

I thought about Dublin for St. Patrick's day, or Germany for some "Starkbierzeit" shenanigans, but I decided it would be more fun to share the wealth and bring a friend.

$1500 obviously doesn't cover 2 international tickets, so we decided to head to the west coast for some hiking. The best hike was reserved for last Saturday in Yosemite.

I'll keep the suggestions in mind for the next trip... Except Juarez, that one sucked.

Have we ruled out such hotspots as Canton, NC or maybe Fayetteville? Don't forget the local gems.

:flipoff2:

Or the world famous Myrtle Beach

I would go to Arizona if to be realistic:D
If to dream about… it would be South Europe! I would drive in early spring along the coast from Cote D’Azur to Gibraltar, stop for a few nights in Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga. Ideally I would even live there for some time, not in France - too expensive, but Spain – oh yeah! I would rent or buy a scooter and learn some Spanish, maybe I would even make business and buy some property in Barcelona , looks not too bad to stay there, run a little hotel or airbnb rooms, find a spanish girlfriend:rolleyes:
