anyone ever do this on a cj5 before? im trying to weigh out all my options because lift kits seem a lil high. this way i could get like 2 RE 4.5 inch springs for the rear and SOA the front with some stockers or something... any ideas?

why again?
lift "kits" seem high? perches, brake lines, steering and ubolts. right? or am I missing something? spoa will flex better too

My buddy did the opposite on his Scout, SOA on the rear with the stock springs, 4" lift springs up front, SUA so he wouldnt have to re-engineer the steering.

im trying to keep this simple its not my main rig just a side project, i want to go sua all the way around to keep it old school but kits are so high. i dont want a full soa. with the 401 it will kill rear springs soa with clutch dumps. just trying to figure out the most cost effective way

if you want a cheap 4" old school lift, go on ebay and buy 4 spring packs from superlift's scratch and dent store, buy some shocks, and get a drop pitman arm (brake lines etc) for dirt cheap
