already have a 3" suspension lift on my 93YJ, what would be the total lift if I added a SOA lift and how much does the SOA usually cost?

SOA would give about 5.5" more lift (diameter of axle tube plus springpackthickness).
Checkout the RE YJ SOA kit for agood idea of whats involved...

As the RE website says, there's more to it...you still nned to address steering and rear axle wrap.

YOU would be too tall imho for doing anything but sitting still with 3" springs soa. Soa is usually around 5-6" with stock springs and cost can go from lil to alot depending on how you do it, take care of steering, etc. Do a soa search on here, google, pboard, etc and you will find enough reading to last you 2 months........Then read every bit of it.

The only thing I know for sure: I had 4" lift springs on a CJ. I swapped them to the top of the axle (SOA). It was dangerously tall :) I put stock springs on the SOA within two weeks!

You would be way to tall and top heavy for anything other than mud bogs. The tallest Ive seen that works is 2.5" springs and that was still tall. With 1.5" springs, you can make 42s fit with a comp cut and tube fenders.
