Holy crap! i thought the super bowl fans drank! just got off a 14 hour security shift for a world cup party. Role of a bouncer: Check ID's. Flirt with girls. Stop outside drinks from entering. Stop Glass from exiting. Deal with Drunks. Stop fights.Flirt with girls. Prevent Fights. Flirt with girls. Refill Ice. Empty Trash. Deal with Drunks. Pick up trash. Flirt with girls. Restock the bar stock(several times a night) Deal with Drunks. Pick up empties. Get people down off of tables. Call cabs. Deal with Drunks. Flirt with girls. Pace the bar, looking for drunks.

10 hours at one bar, which was host to a street party. We had 1000+ people there for the event. Within the first few hours, the other bouncer and the bar staff had words and he was sent home, leaving just me and a couple bike cops. Im pretty sure we almost ran of beer....i know there was atleast one trip to the store. The bar itself was well over capacity and the door was on a 5 out 1 status. how many people are walking out during today game? none. They did have a 80" tv outside and a beer station. People still waited hours to get inside. my view from the door: the line to get in is the right of the photo frame.

So the game ends in a tie...which apparently in soccer means everyone goes home. Which was fine by me. no rowdy victory celebrations, no upset losers doing stupid things. head to my other bar (my main gig and home bar of nearly a decade). Turns out, they dont go home after a tie. They go to the other bars. Since my bar is "late night, this is where everyone ends up bar" bar, gues what kinda shit show i had the pleasure of dealing with. We had a huge night for a sunday night. Lot's of arguing, lots of cabs called. LOTS of cleaning up. was tired of taking pics at this point.

Luckily i was able to pick up on almost all the fights and diffuse before any of them progressed to any trouble. Didnt have to call the cops once today, and hell...i usually have to do that atleast once on a slow night.

Made more money today that i have ever made in a single day bouncing. Had a great time. Would do it all over again tomorrow if i could. I love this job.

just felt like sharing with you guys while i sit here trying to wind down for bed. lol, trying to beat the scheduled 4:00 website maintenance.

more pics on facebook, www.facebook.com/camelcitynightlife if anyone wants to take a look. its a facebook page my wife an i run.
