that was the solution I came up with after removing my front fenders. The coolant hose goes to the bottom of the bottle. The wash pump is original equipment, use A 13/16" spark plug socket, to loosen pump filter screen. One litre, big slam bottles, stainless wire to hang 'em, Oh ,& that's P/S fluid on the snorkel hose, not coolant!

That was actually my 1st choice

plastic honey bears are stronger
Do you have any, I really wanted them but could not find 'em anywhere. No actually I was going to use bicycle water bottles, but having seen "Survivor man, boil water in A plastic soda bottle, I decided to go with these. The slammer bottle has A big mouth, so the spark plug socket fits through it.

Little fun fact...you can boil water (on a stove, campfire, candle...)at least once in pretty much any kind of cup. Even paper. As long as the material doesn't melt enough to lose it's structural strength before 215 +/- degrees.

Just so people don't go around thinking soda bottles are the new hot shit.

Don't get me wrong...they're beautiful in there own special way......

Well it gets pretty warm down here in Clover, S.C. I'll post back about structural integrity, after summer is over. After loosing fender mounting locations, I had to come up with something. Summit racing, sells some sweet aluminum tanks, but they ain't cheap. Soda bottles are less than $2.00, & they come with A free drink. Besides, who can argue with Survivor Man?

Les Stroud is the man!!

I agree, Jeff.

Les Stroud is the man!!
Yeah He seems to be able to take anything, that mother nature throws at him. Also respect him for being A picky eater, no matter how hungry he gets. There is A lot of edible stuff he wont even try. I know I'd starve to death before, I eat worms! But his show is very informative.

Bear Grylls (SP) will eat damn near anything.

He squeezed water out of a damn elephant turd and drank it.

In the very same episode he found a zebra dead and stripped of most of its meat, and managed to find some that was still around and even ATE THAT!

He's my other hero, of gettin it done!

Hey Macdaddy, I also have watched all his shows, that guy is the other "man". British special forces. I used to think he was making some bad choices, Taking the hardest way out etc. but then I realized it was for the benefit of the viewers. Sometimes have to turn my head, when he decides to call certain things "lunch":poop:! Both programs are very informative.

i run a dasan i bottle for my coolant overflow and a gatorade bottle for my p/s hydro assist resevoir....

only problem is the dasani bottle will shrink to 2/3 of it's original size after a little time... that just means it's time to unscrew it and thread on a new FULL bottle of dasani! (or whatever bottled water is handy)

FYI you can also boil water in a hole in the ground. Don't even need a bottle.
Not the cleanest aproach, if if ya got nothin, you use what you have...

Man I thought I had an original idea for once in my life!

Hey Erik, Just kidding about original idea, my son said he saw ricers using soda overflow, @ drag strip once. I did figure out how to use the original wash pump, in the slammer bottle. At first I thought I'd use it temporarily, but I might just keep it. Good conversation starter.

haha yea mine started as a joke / temp solution when i did the motor swap..... then laziness set in and it became permanent.... then the hydro assist came to be an hour before we were set to leave for uwharrie so the gatorade bottle was the temp solution.... and guess what? still there! haha

I used an anitfreeze jug for a gas tank cause the original lines were stopped up on an old Toyota car we were spinning donuts in out in the field. That worked really good till we broke the tire down on the car while sliding sideways and we turned over. You can figure out what happened next.

Welcome to 2008 girls! :flipoff2:

I've had a YWCA (lettering wore off YEARS ago) "Sports Bottle" for a rad. overflow for at least 7 years (mbalbritton or lomodyj can verify)...

IOW, I was cheap before cheap was cool! :D
