Sold the 4 Runner now what

Well sold the 4 runner this morning .
Now time to start a new build, I got a line on a 1984 Dodge 4x4 with a 318 and a auto trans. What I would like to do is a lift with 42" tires to start. Followed by linking it up and bobbing it as well as Boat siding it. Has any one did this before is there any tips or tricks that I could use?

I'd start with something newer that has EFI from the factory. I'm not a fan of carburetors for rock crawling/wheeling.
