about 40ft below grade, when I first got to the site it was in the sub deck of the parking garage, very dark and leaking hydraulic fluid.

About 9:30ish,

the lift is still down, the cylinder I was trying to repack was trashed, so I had to order a new one. had to drive the lift down McDowell to Jones and park it in a parking lot there.

had one contractor a little ticked off because I was blocking up the loading zone ( I was told to leave it there )

A lot of new construction going on in that 2 block area.

it's just the auto exposure on teh pictures making the last picture look dark. camera took the light reading mostly from the sky (hence the blue you can see) and that underexposed the foreground

I didn't have a whole lot of time to snap those pix, the whole flight probably took 1.5 minutes, and 20sec of that was waiting for a ground person to reach the grab line before it was set down on the ground. ( I'm not crane certified, nor do I have any communication with the crane operator, so I'm JAFO during this process. )

kinda erie having 8000lbs dangling over your head.....

Nah, I was going w/early AM because it was still overcast, foggy, and wet. The sun came out mid-morning and cooked it all off by lunctime. ;)

That looks like the Clancy and Theys job, Green Square, behind the Dept of Justice building. We did some demo work Work to the loading dock building on the edge of the building foundation. Man what a hole!

and you would be correct. Clancy & Theys is the lead, CECO Concrete is who I have been working for, Miller and Long are also in there. along with a few other sorted crews.

there are 2 tower cranes on site at this time, a third comes into play in a few weeks when they start building the State Employees Credit Union building. that will be 3 buildings under construction in the same hole.

And then, also breaking ground in the next few weeks is the " Deever" building, fronting on Jones St between Dawson and McDowell.

all of these projects are state/fed funded
