So, I've been busting ass all trying to get ready for next weekends ride, replaced broken birf, built entire new ifs rear axle, truss, traction bar, rebuilt broken driveshaft...
Took her out for a spin this afternoon to flex it for new shock mounts and bump stops. Everything was going great and we decided to see if the traction bar was working well and try to burn out.
I put my dual trannies in 1st and 3rd, revved to about 4 grand and dumped the clutch. Pop. So, I'm thinking damn, busted a tranny, I've got no go in any gear, but, everthing still shifts well. Anyway, got back to the garage with a tow from a buddy and tore everything out again.
Turns out I sherred of the imput shaft to the t-case. Good and bad here, one, it is another testement to the strengh of a dual tranny setup. Other side is that now I have to find a top shift case by this weekend.
So, if anyone knows of one cheap, let me know.
Anyway, I'm sure that others have had similar situations before.
