For any of you guys who have tried to reach me or are wondering why I've been out of the shop lately I'm very sorry and will be returning your calls and emails as I'm able too.

For two weeks now I've been in the worst pain i've ever felt in my life. I found out the other day that it's due to a kidney stone. The doctor says it came from my right kidney and that my left kidney is full of stones waiting to drop. So It's been a miserable couple weeks. They say it'll pass in the next few days but we'll see.

I've been in and out of the shop a few times when the pain subsides but moving around much just makes it worse. So if you have any questions or need to get a hold of me the best way would probably be email. Thanks
 
Never had the dis-pleasure of a kidney stone, but I have a few friends that had them, and it dont sound fun. I know Chuckman has posted on here several times about them.
Seems he gets them more than usual.
Has the doc mentioned what is causing them?
 
I was going to see if you wanted to ride shotgun in the cruiser yesterday... George, John, and I made a uwharrie run, and no one wanted to freeze w/ us.

That would've got some more of them stones moving:driver: lol

For real though, good luck w/ everything...

Once I catch this one in the strainer I have to take it to the doctor so he can see what it's made of.

Dude...that's a pisser (do you see what I did there). Sorry to hear that for you. I went through kidney stones once, I've never been happier than when I heard the klinking on the porcelain.
 
Damn that sucks, hope you feel better.
 
a friend of mine used to have them pretty bad. the Dr actually told him to drink a beer or two every night to help flush his kidneys out and he hasnt had one since.
 
I've had a half dozen of the miserable things over the past 20 years. They hurt like nothing else, and you can't get away from the pain. I too was told I have a handful in one kidney just waiting to drop. As already mentioned, Doc told me lots of water... he also said lemonade helps as there is something in it that counters the stones. Seems like maybe it has lengthened the time between them. Hate to tell you, but since you have had one you are prone to have others... at least that's what the Doc told me. Good Luck!

An extra note... a good friend of mine up in Maiden just had a 13mm stone broken up, and removed. He said he had passed some big ones, but this one was too much for him! :)
 
HEY, Sorry bout. Guess its something like a shit cramp, where u double over with the cramp, but ur too blocked up to go.:poop:The Ladies havent gotten in on this yet? EVER HAD A BABY!!! Have a Beer, or 12.:beer:
 
Allow me to introduce my first born. We'll call him Rocky, He's about 3mm and hurt like hell. But man what a relief!!

Damn man...those bring the suck for sure, Ive had two.

My brother on the other hand had his first surgically removed at 9, and has had literally hundreds, he averages 1.5/month and has for the past 10+ years. He has been to every specialist in the country, and even flew to Germany once...drank nothing but water for over a year, tried a dozen different diets...you name it. These days he just toughs it out...if you get another one he swears by once they start rolling, he will call me and say we need a beer night. Says the extra fluid makes you pee more (we all know the beer pisses) and the alcohol dulls the pain. Just something to consider.
 
congrats. nice baby boy you got there.
thats what I said about my first born. I have now started graveling my driveway. so far the first 1 was the worst.
