Anyone know a good place to buy some steel rims with the 8x170 bolt pattern? Or centers? I'm thinking either 17" steelies or just recenter some H1's. Input? Help?

I've checked out summit, but I'm looking for just a regular set of steel wheels 10" wide I cut turn into bead locks.

GubNi-how wide are those stock ones?

I'll have to call them. The only steelies I saw were 16"x8 and 17"x9. I'm no expert but I'm not sure a 9" rim turned into a beadlock will like a 16"wide tire. Can someone confirm that?

How tall a tire? The taller the sidewall, the better it's going to do on a narrow rim. But yeah, call them. It seems you have to actually talk to them to get them to admit they do some funky custom stuff.

I'm looking at running either 38's or a 39.5's. I've got my eye's on a set of either 13.5" wide Iroks or the 16" wide pit bull rockers. I'm not a big fan of the huge footprint from the rockers though, (they'll be going on an XJ-not alot of wieght per cubic in.) but I've heard nothing but great reviews from them.

I thought about just recentering a set of H1's, but I'll be running a d50 with 35 spline axles, and I'm worried about the 9" ring gear taking the rotating mass of the heavy ass H1's. I do like the double bead lock of the H1's, and I am looking for some deep backspacing to keep my width down. So the H1's seem like the best deal.

What's everyone's thought about this? H1's or steelies with weld on beadlocks? I'm looking to keep the weight down on the wheel end so I have less to worry about with the bastard d50, but don't want to pass up on some great options by going cheap/lower weight.
