Southern Sportsman

it went to several states. Frank when he quit doing the shows, took all the tapes with him him to Green County and stored them in his air plane hanger. Needless to say, they were all ruined. He is gone now. Been dead a few years.
We had been doing research on Confederate camps around the Hookerton area. Nice sandy field on a bluff above the creek sparked our interest. The field belonged to Frank. Called him up on the phone and he was gracious enough to let us metal detect it. It was empty tho. His hanger was still there but the landing strip had homes built on it.
I always looked forward to seeing his show. He always went snake hunting twice a year and they would go into a swamp five miles from my grandparents home...where my grandfather would set out nets and traps. That swamp was called "Lee's Lake" but it was just a wide spot in the swampy run.

A 24 year run on TV is impressive by anyone's standards on any network!
I remember seeing a few. Loved the laid back style.

There are 2 of the red books for sale on egay and they both are listed for nearly 50 dollars for a signed copy. Saw no black books.
